Ingredients (Serves 2-3 | Makes 6-7 Parathas
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup finely chopped moringa leaves (or 1/2 tsp moringa powder)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp ajwain (carom seeds) (aids digestion)
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp curd or 1 tsp ghee (for softness, optional)
- Water (as needed to knead the dough)
- Ghee or oil for cooking
Method:
- In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, moringa leaves (or powder), turmeric, cumin, ajwain, salt, and curd/ghee.
- Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest for 10โ15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into rotis (or parathas if making a thicker version).
- Heat a tawa and cook the roti on both sides, applying ghee or oil as needed.
- Serve hot with curd, pickle, or dal.
